Musician Edrisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo met the speaker of Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga yesterday, requests Her To Put Up A Ministry In Charge Of Entertainment
The singer shared photos of him with the Speaker and he wrote that he he had set a meeting with the Speaker to discuss matters concerning the supporting more local content and branding local artists for the international Market.
"It’s been a pleasure meeting the speaker of Ugandan parliament Hon Rebecca kadaga ,as an artist ,I addressed issues affecting the entertainment industry and requested for support from the Parliament especially when it comes to branding our own artists for international market,
I also requested to have a ministry in charge of entertainment to help in supporting and developing talents. Music being one of the largest departments employing youth, through her powers she promised to provide all avenues to see us getting to the higher level.For God And My Country#one love. Edirisa Musuuza seemed to have reaped good results as seen from the positive response of the Speaker of Parliament who first applauded the latter for empowering the #GhettoKids and Putting them in the Global Lime light.
"It was a pleasure interacting with Eddy Kenzo when he visited me at Parliament this afternoon. He’s done great in empowering the Ghetto kids and putting them in international limelight. I agree with him on the need for govt to recognise artistes whose works have improved Uganda's image abroad.
