The former dfcu bank Managing Director, Juma Kisaame, has been appointed chairman of Uganda Revenue Authority. Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) announced that former Managing Director of DFCU Bank, Juma Kisaame is the new Chairperson of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Board of Director.
He succeeds Dr Simon Kagugube, who passed on in February after succumbing to a heart complication. Kisaame presided over DFCU Bank since 2017 until February last year.
He has previously worked with Uganda Development Bank in 1988, as a Trainee Accountant and later Senior Accountant.
He is credited for transforming DFCU Bank from a small UGX222 billion-asset bank in 2007 to UGX2.9 trillion at the end of 2018.
He joined DFCU in 1992 as Head of Finance and worked in different roles in the bank until 2004 when he joined Eurafrican Bank (EAB) in Tanzania as managing director.
Since 2006, he has served as a Director on the Board of Jubilee Holdings Limited, the parent company of Jubilee Insurance. Kisaame also serves as the chairman of Uganda Investment Authority.
In 2002, he founded Uganda Leasing Association and served as its President from 2002 until 2006.
