Jumia Uganda has donated 50,000 masks to help government fight against Covid 19.
Through its CEO, Ron Kawamara, Jumia donated 30,000 certified medical face masks to the Ministry Of Health – Uganda.
The masks were received by the Director Of Health Services, Dr. John Mwebesa at the Ministry Of Health to protect health workers at Frontline of the Covid-19 fight.
However, according to the Jumia CEO, another shipment of 20,000 masks will be arriving in the country.
The face masks will be distributed to the health workers at various health facilities and border points across the country.
“we are delighted to support the ministry of health’s efforts in the fight against the covid-19 virus. we have offered our logistics to help transport essential medical supplies around the country & today we donate 30,000 certified face masks to be distributed to health workers at the front line,” Ron Kawamara, said.
Jumia also continues to support the Covid-19 response in Uganda by providing logistics (delivery truck) for essential medical supplies and other items across the country.
