Early this week prominent, NBS TV Frontline moderator Charles Odongtho caused a buzz in the media circles following his controversial departure from the Kamwokya based station.
Reports indicated that the management of NBS had rejected his resignation before his grievances could be heard by the top management Disciplinary Committee. It was reported that Ondongtho had breached the rules and was disobeying the production department.
He was thus summoned to attend the institution’s Disciplinary Committee before he would be let go.
But the latest reports reveal that the self-styled moderator was a no show during the Tuesday Disciplinary Committee session that was convened to accord him a fair hearing.
Whereas the DC members, who had served him a prior invitation, waited in vain, the outspoken scribe from Nebbi was nowhere to be seen. The meeting continued nevertheless and members were assured by top management that there was life before and after Odongtho. They thus officially declared Simon Njala Kaggwa, as the perfect replacement.
Meanwhile, we have established that NBS TV boss Kin Kariisa has already directed management to accord Odongtho some modest send off-package.
