As a way of expanding her income base and helping the girl child with the stigma that characterizes menstrual periods, popular singer Sheebah Karungi has launched a new sanitary pads called Holic Pads.
We have learnt that the deal to patent and promote the pads through Sheebah, was hatched by a Kampala investor, who is bankrolling the project.
Sheebah's main role is to promote the pads across the country and encourage as many girls and women as possible to buy them. The new pads were launched early this week at a function that was graced by the Tooro Kingdom Queen Mother Best Kemigisa and several other prominent Ugandans.
It should however be noted that this is Sheebah's second big project ever since she quit Jeff Kiwanuka's Team No Sleep music camp.
The first project she embarked on was starting up her own record label called Sheebah Establishments Limited, which is currently managing her music career.
