Edrisah Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo has faced it rough with his social media fans who grilled him on his constant use of Ganda language on his social media posts.
The 'Tweyagale' singer battled criticism that despite being an international icon with over a million followers from Uganda and all over Africa, he uses his mother tongue on his social media, which majority can't understand. When he posted a picture of himself captioning it ' Bwolitegera ensi ooliba oteredde kya katono naye okalire ebanga ddene.
Ategedde, Rambulira ensonga eno. Abatasomera baluwa mubasa nabo bategere. One love🏻" However. Fans were quick to react and pinned him on why he posts 'silly' and undevelopmental things. "But man, my brother, an international icon we have in Uganda. Who handles your social media platforms? The following you have is fed up with these undevelopmental posts. Every time you are posting silly things. Much as you are a muganda, it does not always require you to write Luganda on Facebook unless in a while. Charles Peter Mayiga is a Buganda Premier but writes Luganda where necessary. Otandise okuswazza erinnya lyo blood." commented a one, Lubowa Masudi. "I didn't understand what you are meaning. But anytime now, tulinda mugole" another one, Madinah Nanyondo commented. "Employ someone to always caption your posts in English. This Luga is just for a few locals." another fan, Prince Majanga commented. "I do not know Luganda but Congs Papa you got the wife #one love" Xarah Sera Raya commented further. "But this Luganda boss is way too much. I am from Canada BTW. If you can hire somebody to post for you in English. God is good" another fan, Kim Kash commented
Although Eddy Kenzo paid a deaf ear and pointed out that Ugandans ought to be proud of their languages.
